Are You Ready For Permanent Home?

Our lives require preparation. Some may be a few hours others may be years, but  preparation is necessary for a successful outcome. So, given this , “Are You Prepared”?

No one is ready to die under normal circumstances – not unless under tremendous pain or a situation beyond their strength to allow such thoughts; however; death is inevitable and we will all succumb to physical death but  not to spiritual death by “Choice”. Meaning that  the choice one  makes will  determine their fate. In 2 Kings, chapter 20, we read an account of Hezekiah who is visited by the prophet Isaiah with a message from the Lord. He was told to “Put his house in order”, because he wasn’t going to recover from this illness.

Clearly, given the nature of the message and the messenger, one  could have accepted the fate, but not Mr. Hezekiah. The scripture says he faced the wall and prayed to the Lord,“Remember, O Lord, how I have been faithful to you and served you single mindedly, always doing what pleases you.” He broke into tears and the lord said to the prophet Isaiah to go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, that God heard him and added many years to his life.

Choice: Hezekiah chose to plead his case. The world has a way of making even conscious people lose their moral code looking for something out there. “Avoid” that can not be filled by material acquisition or any prestigious award but only by “GOD’S TOUCH”.

No, religion or any other association can quiche this void but having complete and honest understanding of the Lord as your Shepherd. David came to this realization when he uttered “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want”, simple and to the point. He gives us our daily needs which are required for sustenance and He allows us to have luxurious things for the individual desire. Beyond this, it is an individual’s pleasure, so choose wisely! Store up your treasures in heaven where no moth or mite can eat it. Jesus is using treasure, a tangible object in relation to the soul. Store up treasures in heaven, clearly nothing to bring up. therefore; the only treasure to store up in heaven is your “soul”. Your relationships with God complete and models you, and no one can destroy this bond. However, Satan is not happy and he will try until you give up or frustrate him by standing firm in God’s faith.

By looking at this scripture in Matthew 6;19, one may wonder if Jesus is talking of material, why then has no one ever been buried with what they have after Jesus’ arrival?

Brothers and sisters, look to God for answers. David spoke of Him as “The Lord is my Shepherd,  I shall not want.” Indeed He gives us all our needs. Our daily bread, and allows for luxurious things for individual desire. Our world is filled with instant gratification leaving no room for patience. However, with God, it is necessary to wait for whatever is needed.

Due to the availability of things and information, God has been either put aside or given second thought. However, in Revelation 16:15, the scripture says “Behold, I am coming like a thief!” This scripture emphasizes “TIME”. How time is precious and we have to be READY AT ALL TIMES, because HE will come like a thief.

God so loved the world that He gave. Therefore, we have to act on this. So much was taken into consideration and we have been given the same for our future home. There are different beliefs on where and how our future home would be. Jehovah Witnesses, for example, believe in “paradise Earth.” Hindus and Buddhists believe in Reincarnation and so forth.  Jesus said that he has going to build a mansion in Heaven. My hope is to be wherever my Heavenly Father approves as home for His Children.

The only way to be caught ready is by confessing our sins, asking for forgiveness, by believing that we have been forgiven, and by waiting on the Lord without fear. Knowing He will be there, an  assurance to eliminate fear.

I would like to share my experience, a glimpse of what may take place after death. I know for sure there is no pain of any kind or any kind of distress. No thinking is required – but total nothingness.

This experience has left me wondering, is it true those who die are watching their loved ones? I experienced total peace – no pain or  thinking of my loved ones or of me for that matter. Jesus said of Lazarus that he was sleeping. “Lets go and wake our brother up.” This means that those who died are in a deep sleep and are not aware of any understanding.

According to the apostle Paul, to die in Christ is to gain. One may wonder. What is he saying? But I believe Paul reached the final conclusion that the only way to be free is to die knowing you gave the best to life full of Christ and God.  God gave us an assurance that “He doesn’t show favoritism but, he accepts everyone from every nation who accepts and loves him”.So there is the clue. “Those who accept and love Him” (Acts 10:34)

Brethren, choosing God and following him completely gives us hope in HIM. In Romans, we learn that nothing can separate us from the love of God. (Romans 8:38-39) Nothing therefore; don’t live in fear but in accordance to God’s ways.

Brothers and sisters, stay encouraged and strive to walk with Jesus  as our example and our way to the father.

Your sister in Christ
