SIMPLE INVESTMENT RULES: ITS NOT THROUGH WORDS BUT WHAT YOU CAN VERIFY. IF ITS STOCKS BUY DIRECT. IF ITS LAND OR HOMES BUY DIRECT FROM THOSE ADVERTISING. THE REST ARE USING YOUR MONEY TO ADVANCE THEMSELVES DON’T TRY UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO WASTE. IF ITS SAVING YOUR MONEY DEAL DIRECT WITH KENYAN BANKS THROUGH SACCOS OR INDIVIDUAL BANKING. DONT FALL FOR ANOTHER FEP SCHEME.
The news of a Diaspora investment fund may appear like a good move but when it involves players that are known fraudsters with pending cases in High court and based in Kenya, it discredit the very purpose the same was initiated.
There have been so many investment avenues that always originate from Kenya and the same have left many in depression, broken marriages, and even death after failing to deliver their promises.
It was not long ago when a sweet talking holier than thou Architect named Kithaka, came to Diaspora to convince many about golden opportunities in Kenya, and many joined his organization called FEP that never delivered it’s promises till this day.
The ADAM fund may be a dream come true to many but when from the word go they involve and interact with people having past scandals and cases that have not been resolved, leaves a lot to be desired.
We in the Diaspora, are not desperate in investing as there are many other genuine avenues like SACCOS that have helped many and the new proposed fund, must be operated by a major existing bank to assure us that our savings are safe.
Surely we are not expected to say Glory Hallelujah when we see Capital Market Authority(CMA) Sharing a platform with Shem Ochuodho, a man who has pending fraud cases. Whether they are over, or not, his past justifies a man who cannot be trusted in any Diaspora talks, or negotiations. The directors of ADAM are happy to associate themselves with such a man to talk about Diaspora Investment and therefore, we as Diaspora Kenyans, who have been cheated for too long, will petition to block the move.
We shall mobilize Kenyans in the entire Diaspora to say NO to organizations run in Kenya with no interest of those in Diaspora. KDA is such organization led by Shem Ochuodho who is not in the Diaspora. He should therefore not talk on our behalf as there are organizations here in the Diaspora, that can even manage the fund if the Government create a Diaspora Desk. He still has pending cases regarding Kenya pipeline.
We are appealing to all in the Diaspora not to be part of that ADAM fund until the Government involve Diaspora leaders to come up with an investment program that will grow the economy of Kenya while advancing our own welfare.
The Government, must set a Diaspora bank run by professionals and controlled by Central Bank. The priority of those working in such a bank should be given to Diaspora returnees. The same bank can also open branches in the Diaspora where there are majority Kenyans.
We expect action to be taken and the issued license should be revoked forthwith until a bill is introduced in Parliament on how and who should control such an investment fund. It should be controlled by a Permanent secretary OR Cabinet Secretary to ensure our investments are safeguarded.
