Diaspora Shattered Dreams. Fare Thee Well Christine Gikanga. A Tribute:

Those who never interacted with the late Christine Gikan’ga, may never know how dynamic she was during all that period she was suffering. Despite her terminal illness, Christine never gave up in life and continued as if nothing was amiss. She was gifted in writing and was always having dreams of writing her own memoirs, but time was not on her side as she would tell me.

Though bed ridden, her brain was very much at work for she never stopped doing taxes to individuals whom she would without fail, help every year at a small fee.

Christine was one of the many in my text list that I would from time to time chart with just to find out how they are fairing and her messages, were long but with a lot of information. She even had the time to text me after she was hospitalized and later confirmed to me that all the two COVID test done were negative and that was the last i received after comforting her and wishing her quick recovery.

During our many conversations, I would sometimes remind her of her relatives in Githiga and we would talk about how active her late aunt Julia Wa Gikanga was in Githunguri politics and she would be delighted

She had wanted to be a regular contributor at the Diaspora Times and recently wrote an article of Presidents that refuse to leave office titled “ Trump refusal to concede might take Americans to the days of John adams.

As a tribute to this dynamic lady who struggled with a lot of determination to get cured I will hereby post the whole story:

Reverend Wambui

Rest In Peace Eternally ✝️

Mr. Kinungi, I appreciate your encouragement but I am not ready to reveal myself, the name I have chosen to go by is good enough for now. This is not because I am afraid, I am actually very comfortable in my skin, I am just not ready to put up a picture for now, if that is o.k with you?

My fellow Kenyans, I am greatly honored to be invited by Mr. Kinungi to contribute to this online Newsletter/Newspaper that’s about time we had a central platform for all different news/views on all topics/subjects  that affect us in Diaspora.

My name is Bedridden Maria, and I have been bedridden for almost 3 years now. Rather than focus on my health decline, my mind is always active, absorbing all kinds of news and stories from the t.v, movies, internet and what’s happening around me. I am there grateful at the freedom he has given me to share from any topic or subject. So I have decided, this will be the outlet many who know me have been prodding me to share my  thoughts,  views and experiences for a long time, but my health made it difficult to start something that needed constant material update. I have however decided to give it a shot.

With most of us engaged with the political news n different predictions of what Trump will do about conceding, I would like to share an interesting fwd I received explaining the usual procedures  followed in the past incase of a president refusing to concede to an incumbent President..all collaborated by several sites like NewsBurst. In, Elombah.com, etc.

” John Adams was the second President of the US and the first President to be in the White House. (File photo)

The matter is about the presidential election held in America in the year 1800. John Adams, the second president of the United States of America, was defeated in this election. His opponent Thomas Jefferson won. Despite this John refused to hand over the assignment to Thomas. Then that happened, which he had never imagined.

John did not attend Thomas’ swearing-in ceremony on 20 January. White House staff also refused to attend the ceremony. That is why the mid-day rules of January 20 could not be written. It is on this day that the President of America assigns the winning candidate.

Had to leave White House despite stubbornness

John was adamant. He was neither leaving the White House nor handing over his assignment to Thomas. In such a situation, his employees stopped listening to him. All security removed. The official communication was cut off. The Presidential staff stopped taking orders from him and the President’s office was also removed.

Departments also started ignoring

Despite the defeat, John, who was frozen in the White House, began being ignored by the military, CIA, FBI and White House staff. Seeing himself being insulted, John finally had to accept defeat and officially handed over the assignment to Thomas on 4 March 1801.

What will happen if Trump does not leave the White House?

Secret Services can also focus its attention on Trump with Biden.

The CIA may begin briefing both Trump and Biden. (This will also include other intelligence inputs, including the report of Top Secret Intelligence. It is usually briefed to the Commander in Chief.)

The counter intelligence teams of the CIA who spy for the CIA may start giving briefings to both.

White House staffers can start working according to their new president.

On January 20, Mid-Day White House staff exclude the goods of the old president and bring the goods of the new president without any permission.

From January, Trump’s salary will cut off the White House rent.

Biden’s presidential salary will start from January and the White House rent will be cut from his salary.

Melania Trump will cease to be the White House boss by mid-January 20. The staff will replace Dr. Jill Biden as his boss.

All presidential presidential communications will be removed from Trump by 20 January midday.

Officers of the Pentagon, CIA, FBI, Attorney General, Secret Services will continue the dialogue until the old president is on guard.

Beast and Airforce One will salute Trump and focus on Biden.

The Bist will take Biden’s blood sample without anyone’s permission. This has been going on for 200 years.”

Even though you never wrote your memoirs I will keep the few ones you would text me and maybe keep it as your contribution to Diaspora Times.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
