The Moi University student Ivy Wangeci who was brutally murdered last week, was today buried in Nyeri and in attendance were many Kenyans from all walks of life.
Among the mourners was Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.
Other leaders present included Othaya MP Gichuki Mugambi, Nyeri Woman Rep Rahab Mukami and her Murang’a counterpart Sabina Chege and a host of MCAs.
It was an emotional send off as speaker after speaker gave moving speeches of the bright student that had scored high marks at Alliance High School.
The student leader of Egerton University also gave an emotional speech and commented that her passing away was a great loss to all at Egerton and more so, to those that she would have offered her services after completing her course.
Ivy was in her final year but her plans were thwarted by a blood thirsty goon who mercilessly hacked her with an axle.
The increase in murder cases especially to young promising ladies need to be addressed urgently so as to curb the very frequent occurrences.
There have been all sorts of speculations and everyone is urged to comfort the family at this time of great grief.
May Ivy Wangeci rest in peace.
