- Hello, My fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
I Greet you all in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and savior. I speak peace and joy to each one of you.
I’m going to share with you a story to see what happens when we allow hate or malicious thoughts into our hearts. Now, some of you may have heard about this story already, so bear with me as I narrate to get my point.
There was a man who had a neighbor he hated or disliked with a passion.
One day, he heard from God. He said to him, ask me anything and I will give it to you and I will also give your neighbor double.
This statement intrigued him and for better understanding, he asks God, Do you mean whatever you will do for me, you will do or give my neighbor a double of it? Yes! God replied,…. Then, the man asked God to take one of his eyes so that He will take two of his neighbors.
Wow! just imagine all the things he could have asked for, but because he was blinded by hate and total dislike for his neighbor, he opted to sacrifice his eye so that his neighbor would lose both of his.
The story doesn’t elaborate on what did happen in this situation, but our God is God of Love.
Brothers and sisters, please do not let hate or your heart be filled with malicious thoughts against anyone. No one asked to be born or to be in the family they are in. God our creator did that for His purpose of creating you to do His Will and I have come to understand that we were put together to work as teams to assist each other to do His will in whichever form therefore; lets not take others for granted or as unfit because no one is only by God’s grace alone we can claim to exist.
There is a saying that says that ‘ we reap what we sow’ it’s based on scripture. Look Galatians 6:7-10″ Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers”.
brethren, God is in everything and there is nothing He doesn’t know either done in secret or in open, and he also knows our hearts and our thoughts.
Have pure thoughts and loving heart. Ask God to clean and give you a loving heart and pure thoughts filled by his spirit. He said that ” he will melt the heart of a stone.” (see Ezekial 36:26)
What God wants of us, is to trust and believe that He is able to change and do the impossible. See Isaiah 30:15 “This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it”
Also read 2Chronicles 7:14. This is what it says but read the whole of it.
“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land”. This I appeal to all Africans.
No one can hide from God. My baby girl, figured this when she was three years old. (she had bitten her sister and ran from me knowing that I would discipline her and hide in our bedroom closet not her own room, a few minutes later I went straight to my closet and got her and whooped her. a few days later, ” she said to me, Mama! there is nowhere to hide that you can not find me” and I let her know yes and that, the same with our God, we cannot hide from Him). We can hide from each other but not from God. He sees everything we have done or said but the powerful assurance about our Awesome God is that he will forgive us if we change our ways and turn back to him.
Praise God for his unfailing grace.
My dear brothers and sisters let our desire be to receive salvation and to live according to his will. There is no other way to the father but through His son Jesus Christ. So by examining our own hearts and going before him, our creator who made as and knows completely, there is hope and a new attitude in us.
Stay encouraged and hopeful for your Heavenly father is Able and Willing to welcome you to Him.
Your sister in Christ
