Wamuyu Kuira visit to Kayole Girls Home on Saturday 21st September, to distribute two months sanitary pads as a continues effort to keep a girl in school, was a great success .

The Kenya Parents in USA partly sponsored the event by donating sanitary pads and refreshments.

The excitement was all evident as the girls later posed for pictures while full of smiles.

The little ones were not left behind either AND even though they were not the benefactors, they still grabbed some as a way of indicating that they too will be the beneficially in the near future.

They were however rewarded for their support and given some juice which as many of you know,…. the excitement of drinking that one soda can never be erased from their mind soon.

We in Kenyan Parents in USA are fully in support of this very effective program of keeping a girl in school.

It is easier to nurture and mold them while young so that they can gain self confidence as they grew up to eventually become effective future leaders and the only way to go about it, is to show them that we do care and appreciate them.

As it goes: “If you take care of a boy, you are taking care of one person” BUT if you take care of a girl “you are taking care of a family and eventually a whole nation”.

By keeping a girl in school, it is certain that she in return, will ensure that her children also will not skip school.

Just as stated: “Investing in a girl’s education is investing in a nation”.

It is for this reason that the Kenyan Parents in USA have demonstrated their total commitment to the girl child by supporting this project.

You too can be part of the KIPIUSA family by simply contacting Susan Kiongo on 4044684812.

A little goes a long way. …..Divert those restaurant tips to a worthy cause! Even tithes can be split at times for they are also meant for needy cases.
