Mixing Christianity And Traditions, Stop Panicking: Your Ceremony Was Wrongly Timed. Weston Tells Ruto

1.The descendants of the late Koitalel Samoei led by my friends Moses Saina, Christopher, Orgoiyot, Noah, and Chemumbe of Kapsisiywa village in Kaptel – Kamoiywa ward in Chesumei Constituency must have been “enjoying you” and/or you forced them to bless you because the Kalenjin community does not conduct such ceremonies including weddings and circumcision ceremonies during calamities such as COVID-19.

2.The descendants of Koitalel Arap Samoei and the highly respected Orgoiyot family which I respect can only bless you as a Nandi and not Kalenjin elder because the Pokot, Tugen, Kipsigis,  Sabaot, Keiyo, Marakwet  and other communities have their own elders.

3.The descendants of Koitalel arap Samoei whom you met clearly know that there cannot be two Nokirwets (leadership buttons) in the Nandi community. They gave you one while knowing clearly that the original and genuine one handed over by their Elders is resident in Kabarak.

4.Your problems are self made and no elder will change the character and personality of any person.

5.Posting on Social media Kalenjin cultural ceremonies is a taboo.

6.Being followed by a large number of vultures to a blessings ceremony is a sure sign of bad luck accidents might follow.

7.Having young men like Cherargei and Sang accompany you instead of Elders is wrong.

8.Conducting leadership traditional ceremonies blessed before the cattle leave the cowshed (dawn) or after the cattle settle in the cowshed (sunset) is a taboo.

9.The highly respected family of Koitalel Arap Samoei which always got the respect and attention it deserves from the late Nicholas Biwott must be respected and should not be important only when one needs their assistance. You understand what I mean.

The Lord must always be first in your priorities.

Hereunder are the 10 verses to help you see why seeking God must always be our first priority.

We worship Jesus because He is first — above all rule and authority — and He alone is worthy of the No. 1 position in our lives.

Here are 10 verses to help us see why seeking God must always be our first priority;

Matthew 6:33

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Matthew 10:38-39

“And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”

Matthew 13:44-46

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.”

Matthew 22:37-40

“And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Ephesians 1:22-23

“And God put all things under [Jesus’] feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.”

Colossians 3:17

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Exodus 20:3

“You shall have no other gods before me.”

Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.”

Proverbs 3:9-10

“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.”

Psalm 27:4

“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.”

As I conclude I would like to advise you the following;

1.   Learn to adhere to Kalenjin customs and traditions, we do not conduct celebrations, blessings, wedding or even circumcision ceremonies during a time we are faced by calamities such as COVID-19.

2.   Learn to adhere to government regulations. Stay home, wash your hands, keep social distancing.

3.  Stop panicking. Stop forcing things during such COVID-19 times and instead link the Orkoyot family to HE. President Uhuru Kenyatta because the last time I was with them they were looking for the president. I think they had a present for him. Look for Orgoiyot, Saina and Chemumbe and listen to their grievances if you seriously value them and if not I will personally link them up after COVID-19.

4. You messed up your chances even the descendants of Koitalel Arap Samoei know that you disrespected your boss and spent time and billions in his stronghold trying to turn Mt Kenya against him.

5. I hope umewachia wao kitu because the residence of Kapsisiywa need your generosity more than Mt Kenya.

Stop panicking. Stop forcing things. Stay home, Wash your hands, Keep social distancing. Genuine things will fall in place and in Gods speed and at the right time and to the right people.
