Raila Odinga was in attendance and in his speech praised traditions and made many to laugh after saying that Waiguru was no longer a running mate of somebody as she now have a walking mate.
Other speakers included Kalonzo Musyoka who praised the traditional ceremony as it is a reminder of the long forgotten traditions.
There was no formal wedding cake and instead it was a roasted goat that the bridegroom cut and gave his close friends to signify that he was the official husband to Anne Waiguru.
Ms Waiguru and Mr Waiganjo met 10 years ago in a ferry in Likoni, Mombasa County, while travelling to a conference on the Constitution.
