Kenyans in the diaspora are heretical, unpredictable in nature and full of moral ignorance, …trying to unite a benighted lot is an uphill task and if successful, one can belong to Confucius school of thought to believe that “real knowledge is to know the extent of ones ignorance”.
Many in the Diaspora, have been spreading a message to the effect that HUDUMA number is shrouded with unclear purpose as there is no Government document with a deadline, but a few know it all Kenyans dismissed the message and proceeded to DC to waste time and money.
Children are being born everyday and if the Huduma number is a Government document, they too will obtain the same if it’s all that important.
We see no point especially when one is in America to rush to DC to get Huduma number or even the e-passport.
If for example you are an American Citizen of Kenyan origin, then one can even postpone the application until the time he or she can visit Kenya to get the same while at home. (Emergency travel documents still exist)
The amount people are spending at DC is equal to the fare home and the few Kenyans inconveniencing their young children in scorching heat cannot see that basic logic.
The cost of getting the documents and time wasted will not be less than $2,000 per individual and it beats common sense as to how an educated person can fall for a deadline village lie commonly used to scare the masses in Kenya.
The Government lied to people by intoducing Huduma number as all one requires is an ID that can be integrated and linked to all other many documents we have taken in the past.
The e-passports are in DC to stay as all Kenyans have to continue applying after the regular passports are phased out in September and further still, one does not need to rush if one has no plans of travelling to Kenya.
That is the reason why all are being urged to unite as one Diaspora to speak with one voice, so that you can be saved time and money and not be like the many that are now stranded at DC to get documents that can wait. The Government should wake up and just like they sent people all the way from Kenya to issue Huduma number, they can as well have permanent documents issuing centers in all States.
We will in the meantime continue urging people in the Diaspora to join the Central organization for Diaspora Unity (CODU) so that we all can speak with one voice and be boldly telling the Government in situation like the puzzling Huduma number, WE ARE NOT BOARDING.
The highly paid Huduma secret service employees will only manage to register not more than 6,000 Kenyans in USA and one wonders whether the rest over 150,000 Kenyans in the USA without Huduma number will be regarded as refugees just like Miguna.
