The acronym ” GLBT” was created in the 1990s as an initialism that stood for “gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender.” The acronym “LGBTQ” was created in the 2000s as an initialism that stands for “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer.” Today, LGBT is one of the most controversial issues in the world. While most Western Nations embrace and practice LGBT, in many other Nations of the world, it remains one of the most difficult and controversial issues. While many nations which oppose LGBT base their arguments on the Holly Bible, others consider it immoral and unacceptable in nature.  Many Western Nations contend that Homosexuality which has been practiced secretly for many years should now be legalized in the entire world.

Homosexuality was classified as a mental disorder by the American Psychiatric Association in 1973, and it was until1986 that it was removed from the list. Some historians believe that the concept of Homosexuality as a specific identity, began to be developed in the 1860s with the rise of medical and scientific discourse. But the concept of Homosexuality as we know it today, began to be developed in the 19th, and early 20th. Centuries. That was a time of great Social and Political change. In June 26, 2015, same sex marriage was legalized in USA by the  US Supreme Court. But although the US Supreme Court,  legalized same sex marriage,   the states of Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Ohio and Tennessee, refused to honor the US Supreme Court ruling, and  they have refused to legalize same-sex marriage up to this day.

Despite the refusal of 13 USA states refusal to legalize same-sex marriage, the US Government has continued to pressurize many other nations in the world to legalize same sex marriage. It has gone to the extent of tying its aid to the legalization of same-sex marriage in some nations. in 2014. The United States unveiled a range of measures to punish Uganda for refusing to accept Homosexuality. President Obama stated, “The Government of Uganda’s enactment of the Anti-Homosexual ACT (AHA), runs counter to universal human rights and complicates our bilateral relationship”. The White House canceled a joint military exercise and cut several aid programs in Uganda.

It is very difficult to understand why the USA is forcing other Nations to legalize same sex marriage, when 13 of its States, have refused to do so.  The US has to set a good example, by forcing its 13 States to legalize same-sex marriage, before going out to force other Nations to legalize same-sex marriage.  It should use equal force it is trying to use to force other Nations to legalize same-sex marriage, on its 13 States which have refused to do so, before going out to force others.
